A scattered community with no central home

The Yoruba Wikimedia community ran its activities across scattered social channels with no coordinated web presence. There was nowhere to publish announcements, present the community to potential contributors, or hand over site management to non-technical volunteers.

  • No central site for announcements and community resources

  • Non-technical volunteers needed to manage content themselves

  • Rich content types — articles, events, media — had to be supported

WordPress + Elementor Pro, built for volunteer editors

We delivered a WordPress site on the Blocksy theme with Elementor Pro for drag-and-drop layout control. Royal Elementor and Essential Addons extended the widget library, and the whole thing runs on Hostinger so volunteers can log in and publish without developer help.

  • Elementor Pro layouts that volunteers can edit visually

  • Event, article, and media content managed in one CMS

  • Contributor resources that make joining the community frictionless

A maintainable home for the Yoruba Wikimedia community

The community now has a professional, self-manageable web presence. Volunteers publish content independently, the site unifies dispersed activities, and the CMS keeps long-term maintenance in the community’s hands.

  • Content is managed by volunteers, not locked behind a developer

  • A credible presence that attracts contributors and partners
